Where you’ll be
naMaaStay Ember is a warm, earthy studio with African influences, artistic touches, and an intimate, almost Parisian view of the inner gardens of Wyck. Sleep like royalty in the Swiss Sense queen-size bed with bamboo pillows and hotel-quality duvet. The extra room – featuring a carpet and acoustic panels – is perfect as a workspace, podcast studio, or cozy dining area. The rain shower, playful curtain doors, and tranquil lighting make it a place to slow down. No TV, but fast Wi-Fi and a Nespresso machine for your first cup. A creative hideaway for dreamers, thinkers, and bon vivants.
Are you a student, teacher, or someone in need of a furnished home for a few weeks or months due to study, internship, "parking", work, or because you're between homes due to divorce or relationship issues? Feel free to reach out. Although our booking calendar focuses mainly on short stays, stays longer than 28 days that don't fall under tourist rentals are certainly possible.
Especially for Hotelschool and/or Business(club) students, we can offer attractive collaboration opportunities. With the right mindset and motivation, a triple win can be created, significantly lowering your accommodation costs. Depending on your entrepreneurial spirit, even to zero. And if you're truly motivated, you wouldn't be the first to end up with a nice starting capital. Are you a Hotelschool student? Don’t hesitate to ask about the possibilities of collaborating.
Want to know how previous students experienced working with us? Search and connect via your Hotelschool or Business(club) network. One way — but certainly not the only one — to show how motivated you are to "live for free" and get in direct contact with us and our partner network.
We use an analog self check-in system: a key box secured with a combination lock. However, the keys themselves are protected with LIPS security.

Getting around
Everything Within Reach
Welcome to Wyck, the vibrant heart of Maastricht on the east bank of the Maas. You’re staying in one of the most central locations in the region — with literally every direction accessible whether you're arriving by car, train, bus, plane or on foot.
Parking & Car Access
From two main routes, our location is easily reachable: Coming from the north or west (A2/E25 toward Maastricht)? Park comfortably at Q‑Park De Griend — just 300 m and a 3-minute walk through Wyck. Coming from the south or east (E25 from Belgium or Germany)? The P+R Maastricht Central Station (Meerssenerweg) is ideal — only ~200 m and a 2-minute walk. It’s the most economical option and lets you continue by train, OV-bike, or on foot in just minutes.
Excellent Train Connections
Maastricht CS is a 3-minute walk away. From there: Within 30 minutes by Arriva train you can reach Liège, Aachen or Valkenburg — tourist gems full of history and charm. Or take the ICE International to cities like Cologne, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, or even Basel. Heading north to the Netherlands or deeper into Belgium? There are connecting services via NS or NMBS.
Public Transport & Cross-Border Buses
Right outside the station, you’ll find buses to all districts of Maastricht, and also to Maasmechelen Outlet Village, Lanaken, Smeermaas, Kanne, and Hasselt — via Belgian De Lijn lines. Local public transport is frequent, reliable and easy to navigate. You’ll be in the center, at the Markt, Vrijthof, or Stadspark in minutes.
Nearby Airports
Maastricht Aachen Airport (MAA) is just 10 km away — a short taxi or bus ride. Other nearby airports include Liège, Aachen/Maastricht, Eindhoven, Brussels-Zaventem, Charleroi, and Cologne/Bonn — all within 1 to 1.5 hours travel time.
Bike & OV-Bike
Maastricht is a great city for cycling, but there’s no need to bring your own. You can rent an OV-bike at Maastricht Station. Plus, the city offers several free, secure underground bike parking facilities (Vrijthof, Markt, De Promenade, Onze-Lieve-Vrouweplein, Station). They’re perfect for safely storing your bike while you explore.
Uber & Taxis
Maastricht is one of the few Dutch cities with Uber services. Regular taxis are also available just minutes from the station.
Conclusion – Everything Close By
Whether you’re here for culture, culinary experiences, nature, or international day trips — everything is within reach. From this location, you can travel through five countries in under an hour: Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and even France via high-speed rail. Explore historic cities like Liège, Aachen, Hasselt, Valkenburg, Tongeren, or Sittard. Leave your car parked — local transport, taxis, and bikes are at your service.
You will be staying at a place where global mobility meets local charm.
